Reception and breakout seating in one place: the Mawsley modular system with curved, corner and D end units that build a booth or a snaking run, Lamport armchairs and sofas for a settled waiting area, Lulu accent chairs where you want one good seat rather than a whole suite, and Harlestone stools in single and two tone finishes for perching. The upholstery across the range is contract grade, which is the difference between a reception sofa that still looks right in year three and one that does not.
Choosing soft seating that lasts
Decide first whether people sit for two minutes or twenty. A waiting area wants a proper seat height, around 450mm, with arms to push up from, while a breakout space gets far more use out of backless stools and low units that can be dragged about. Measure the walkway before you order a sofa: a two seater is typically around 1400mm wide, and a corner run eats more floor than the plan suggests once you allow for people getting past it. Sofas and armchairs suit smaller receptions where a modular run would swamp the space.
Think about noise as well as comfort. Upholstered backs absorb a fair amount, but a breakout area sitting next to open plan desks will still carry, so pair the seating with acoustic solutions, or a privacy booth or pod if calls get taken there. People will end up working from the seating whatever you intend, so plan power in early: in desk power modules fitted to an adjacent table keep laptops alive past eleven o'clock.
Tables and finishing touches
Soft seating nearly always needs a surface next to it. Breakout and shaped tables sit at the right height beside low units, bistro and cafe tables work better where people actually eat, and studio soft seating mixes in when a scheme needs something lighter among the heavier pieces.

Office Masters is run by Neil Andrew Office Solutions Limited, a family business based at Edison Close, Ransomes Europark in Ipswich, supplying and installing office furniture since the 1980s. Reception work takes us out to Colchester, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge and Norwich most months, and the same range ships anywhere on the UK mainland.
Modular seating is the sort of thing worth having built for you, since units arrive flat and linking them squarely takes two people and some patience, so add pre-build and installation and we will set it out on site. Standard UK mainland delivery is free and normally inside five working days, with a next working day option if a launch is looming. Send over the reception dimensions or call 01473 464644 and we will sketch a layout that fits.
