High back booths for offices that have run out of quiet corners. Everything here is Brixworth: the standard booth, the open booth and the bench booth, each in single tone or two tone upholstery. The panels wrap round to head height, so a call or a one to one stays reasonably private without building a room, which is why they keep turning up on open plan floors that already have plenty of soft seating.
Choosing a booth
Be clear whether you are after privacy or quiet, because they are not the same thing. A closed booth blocks sightlines and takes the edge off voices; it is not a soundproof pod, and nothing upholstered ever is. If the room already echoes, a booth on its own will not fix it and you want absorption on the ceiling or the walls too. An open booth gives you the enclosure without the shut-in feeling, and suits a floor where managers like to keep an eye on the room.
Measure generously. A bench booth needs clearance at each end for people to get in and out, and the height of the backs means you should check they do not block a window, a fire exit sign or a light fitting. Two booths facing each other create a corridor, which is fine if that was the plan and awkward if it was not. Add the monitor bracket if the booth will be used for video calls rather than lunch.
Treat the room as well
Acoustic solutions and the SCH! acoustic collection cover wall panels, ceiling baffles deal with hard ceilings, and desktop and acoustic screens tackle noise at the desks themselves. The matching armchairs, sofas and tables sit in the Brixworth collection, and longer seating runs are in modular seating alongside breakout and shaped tables.
Booths and pods for offices in Suffolk and Essex
Office Masters is the online arm of Neil Andrew Office Solutions, a family-run Ipswich firm with roots back in the 1980s and a relaunch under Neil's own name in 2017. We supply and install across Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk, and booths have gone into offices in Bury St Edmunds, Chelmsford, Woodbridge and Norwich.
Standard UK mainland delivery is free and normally lands inside five working days, with a next working day upgrade if you need it sooner than that. Booths arrive in large, heavy sections, so it is worth checking lift dimensions and stair turns before ordering, and pre-build with installation saves an afternoon of wrestling. Send a floor plan or ring 01473 464644 and we will tell you honestly whether a booth or a screen suits the space.
