Qube is a storage system rather than a set of separate products, and that is the reason to choose it. The two-door stationery cupboard, the side tambour, the 1800mm high locker, the lateral filing frame and the multi purpose shelf all work on the same module. Cupboards line up at matching heights and the internals move between carcasses, so a filing frame today can become plain shelves when the paper goes digital. It is the practical end of steel storage within storage and filing.
Choosing the right Qube units
Start with the doors, because they decide where a unit can go. A tambour slides around inside the carcass and needs no clearance in front, which makes it the one for a corridor or a gap between desks. Then decide what goes inside: lateral frames take suspension files across the width and give the most paper per metre of floor, the roll out frame pulls forward so you can read the tabs from above, and plain shelves suit box files.
Lockers deserve their own thought. With more people in two or three days a week, personal storage moves off the desk and onto a wall, and an 1800mm Qube locker gives everyone a slot. Check depth against your files, since a lever arch needs around 320mm clear. Steel takes knocks in a post room and does not warp like a chipboard carcass. There is more in office cupboards, filing cabinets and lockers.
Mixing steel with the rest of the office
A full steel wall can look severe in a client-facing room, so most offices mix. Put the Qube units where the work happens and keep warmer finishes out front, where the timber pieces in cupboards and bookcases or the matching units in Impulse storage sit better against desking. Paper in daily use still belongs near the person using it, so add a mobile unit from pedestals and drawers.
Qube storage delivered across East Anglia
Office Masters is the online shop of Neil Andrew Office Solutions, a family-run firm at Edison Close on Ransomes Europark in Ipswich, supplying and installing office furniture since the 1980s. Steel storage is heavy and arrives on a pallet, so if you are in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe, Haverhill or across into Colchester, it is easier to let our own team bring it in and set it in place.
Tall cupboards and lockers should be fixed back to a wall and a long run wants levelling, both part of pre-build and installation. UK mainland delivery is free inside five working days, with a next working day upgrade if a deadline moves. Measure the wall, note the sockets and radiators, then call 01473 464644 and we will work out the mix of frames and shelves.
