Choosing office lockers
Count the people, not the desks. The point of an agile office is that there are more staff than desks, so a locker bank must cover everyone who might be in that week, part timers and shift staff included. Then decide what has to fit inside one compartment: a coat and a handbag need far less height than a rucksack, a bike helmet and a laptop. Get that split wrong and it shows within a fortnight.
Think about where the bank stands before it arrives. Full height steel is heavy and wants a flat, solid floor, and it belongs against a wall rather than free standing in a walkway. Leave room in front for two people to open doors at once, because a locker bank in a narrow corridor becomes a bottleneck at nine o'clock. Steel doors are louder than people expect, so site the bank near the entrance.
