Thirty eight chairs for the other side of the desk. The Nola black leather cantilever with arms suits a formal meeting room, the Vero Airmesh back keeps things lighter, and Madrid sits on a wooden frame where a room wants a bit of warmth. Nest Loop and Nest Edge stack when the same space doubles as training, the Quote sled base chair works well in reception, and the Neo single and twin tubs edge into reception seating territory.
Choosing a visitor chair
Work out how long anyone actually sits. For hour long meetings a cantilever chair with some flex in the frame is kinder than a rigid four leg, and arms make it easier to get back up. For rooms reset twice a day, stacking chairs matter more: check the stack height and whether a trolley is available, because eight chairs stacked is roughly shoulder height and awkward to carry.
Then match the covering to the traffic. Leather and faux leather wipe clean and look right in a boardroom, while fabric is warmer and hides marks in interview rooms. Measure seat width rather than just the table, because a chair with arms wants about 600mm of table edge each, and six of them rarely fit round a 1600mm top. On hard floors, glides mark less than castors and a skid base slides rather than digs in.
What goes around them
Most of these chairs get bought alongside a meeting or boardroom table, and ordering both together avoids the classic clash between leg positions and chair arms. In reception, mix a couple of visitor chairs with softer pieces so nobody has to perch. If the room also hosts lunch or training, cafe and bistro seating stores tighter, and anyone sitting all day belongs on a proper task chair from the wider office seating range instead.
Meeting room seating across Suffolk and north Essex
Behind Office Masters is Neil Andrew Office Solutions, the family business Neil runs from Edison Close on Ransomes Europark in Ipswich. It goes back to the 1980s, when he joined his father Malcolm, and relaunched under his own name in 2017. Alongside the website we still measure up, supply and install office furniture across Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk and the rest of the country.
Meeting chairs go out to offices in Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury and Colchester as often as they do around Ipswich, and standard UK mainland delivery is free within five working days if you have time to plan. Most visitor chairs arrive assembled or close to it, though we can pre-build and install a full room if you would rather not unbox twenty of them. Call 01473 464644 with your table size and we will say how many chairs really fit.
