Ten boardroom tables in four distinct looks. Oslo comes rectangular or oval with a 1600mm square extension kit, Evolve Plus works the same way for a plainer scheme, Impulse sits on a silver leg frame for an everyday meeting room, and the Italia Volta poseur tables carry a pop-up power module in the top, including a high gloss version for rooms where the table is the first thing anyone notices. Extension kits mean a table can grow for the quarterly review.
Choosing a boardroom table
Size the table by seats and by walkway, not by the space available. Allow 600mm to 700mm of edge per person, then a metre of clear floor all round so chairs pull back without knocking the wall. A 1600mm rectangular top seats four comfortably and six at a squeeze. Oval tops let everyone see each other and take the sharp corner out of a narrow room, which helps in a long, thin room.
Power is the part people regret. If laptops live on the table, a pop-up module in the top beats a lead trailing across the floor, and there are boardroom tables with power built in from the start. Otherwise plan a floor box before the table lands rather than after. Check leg positions against your chairs too, since a frame with legs set inboard seats more people than one with legs at the corners, and in-desk power modules can be fitted into some tops.
Chairs, tables and the rest of the room
Order the conference chairs at the same time so seat and table heights agree and the arms clear the top. For rooms that flip between board meeting and workshop, folding and flip top tables sit alongside the fixed table and clear away afterwards. Breakout and shaped tables suit the informal corner, the Italia range carries the high gloss finish through, and glass walled boardrooms nearly always want acoustic panels.
Boardroom tables across Ipswich, Suffolk and Essex
Office Masters belongs to Neil Andrew Office Solutions, a family run company working from Edison Close, Ransomes Europark in Ipswich. Neil joined his father Malcolm's business in the 1980s and relaunched it under his own name in 2017, and the team still measure up, supply and install office furniture throughout Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk and the rest of the UK.
A boardroom table is one of the few items genuinely worth having installed. The tops are heavy, the frames need levelling on an uneven floor, and an extension kit only lines up properly if both halves are set together. We install regularly in Ipswich, Colchester and Bury St Edmunds, out to Felixstowe and down to Chelmsford, and free UK mainland delivery runs to five working days. Send the room dimensions or call 01473 464644 and we will size it with you.
