Tables that get out of the way when the room needs to be something else. The Impulse folding range covers rectangles, semi circles and trapeziums, while the Impulse Plus flip top models tilt the top vertical and roll away on castors so a run of them nests against a wall in minutes. Trapeziums are the shape people forget: put six together for a hexagon and group work, then split them into pairs for a workshop.
Choosing folding and flip top tables
Decide first whether the room changes daily or twice a year. If it changes daily, flip top on castors is the only sensible answer, because a folding leg table has to be lifted by two people while a flip top is pushed by one. If the layout is mostly fixed, folding legs are lighter to store flat and take less wall space stacked. Either way, make sure you have somewhere to put them: nested flip tops need a clear wall, and a cupboard door must be wide enough to take a top on its side.
For training layouts, allow about a metre of table width per person if they are using laptops and papers, or 600mm at a squeeze for a briefing. Slimline tops keep rows tight in a narrow room but leave nowhere for a bag. Locking castors matter more than people expect, since a table that creeps as somebody leans on it is a trip hazard. For longer sessions, look at the training collection, and at breakout and shaped tables for less formal rooms.
Chairs and screens for the same room
Seating has to stack if the tables fold, or you have solved half the problem. Stacking chairs pile onto a trolley and clear the floor, while cantilever visitor chairs look smarter for client sessions but need somewhere to live. For a room that doubles as meeting space, compare fixed meeting and boardroom tables and the rest of the tables section. A couple of acoustic screens take the edge off the echo in a hard walled room.
Training and meeting tables across Suffolk and Essex
Office Masters is the online shop of Neil Andrew Office Solutions, a family run company at Edison Close, Ransomes Europark, Ipswich. The business dates from the 1980s and Neil's father Malcolm, and has carried Neil's name since 2017. We supply and install across Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk, and deliver free to UK mainland addresses within five working days, with optional pre-build.
Training rooms are usually a rush: a course is booked, the room is empty, and the tables have to be in. We have turned rooms around for customers in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Haverhill and Chelmsford, and the earlier we know the date the easier delivery is to plan. Give us the room dimensions and delegate numbers on 01473 464644.
