Three Impulse crescent desks, which is the corner shape done properly: a curved front edge that gives more usable surface across the middle without taking any more floor than a straight desk. Each comes on a different frame, so you can pick the cantilever leg for a clear span underneath, the cable managed leg for routing hidden inside the frame, or the panel end leg for a solid, more traditional look. Left and right hand versions are available.
Choosing a corner desk
Get the handing right first, because it is the mistake that costs a redelivery. Stand where you will sit: if the longer return runs to your left, you want a left hand desk. Then work out which wall takes the monitor and which takes the paperwork, and remember the deepest part of a crescent top is the middle, not the ends, so a screen sits better roughly central than pushed into the angle.
Corner desks suit anyone working across two things at once, a screen and a spread of paper, or a phone and a keyboard. They are less suited to a bank of desks, where the tops in straight desks pack more people into the same run. Check the access route too, since a crescent top is wide and rigid and will not go up a tight staircase like a 1400mm rectangle. For the same idea with a wave front, see crescent and wave desks.
Storage and extras
There is usually a gap under the shorter leg that suits a mobile pedestal, which tucks away or doubles as a side surface. If you would rather the drawers were built in, desks with storage come as one piece. The rest of the range, including bench runs and height adjustable frames, sits in office desks.
Corner desks in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and beyond
Office Masters is the online arm of Neil Andrew Office Solutions Limited, a family run business at Edison Close on Ransomes Europark in Ipswich. Neil joined his father Malcolm in the 1980s and relaunched under his own name in 2017. The same team quotes, supplies and installs office furniture across Suffolk and Essex, from Haverhill and Stowmarket to Bury St Edmunds and Chelmsford, and ships UK wide.
If you are unsure about handing, send a rough sketch of the room with the window and the door marked and we will tell you which version to order. Standard UK mainland delivery is free and typically five working days, with a next working day option, and pre-build or installation takes the flat pack away on a shape fiddlier to assemble than a straight top. The number is 01473 464644 if you would rather talk it through.
