Tables built on a heavier base than the usual four legged frame, all from the Impulse range. Take a straight, square, round, trapezium or semi-circle top on either a box frame leg, a squared off panel style support at each end, or a single post leg on a weighted foot. The box frame looks solid and architectural, while a post leg frees the underside so chairs tuck in anywhere around the edge. Both sit comfortably alongside the wider tables and meeting and boardroom tables ranges.
Choosing a table base
The base decides how many people you can genuinely seat. Post legs suit round and square tops in small meeting rooms, because nobody straddles a leg and you can slide an extra chair in. Box frames suit longer straight tops in rooms where the table stays put. Allow around 600mm of table edge per person, and check the clearance under the top, since a thick frame can catch the arms of a chair you already own.
The trapezium and semi-circle tops are the ones people underuse. Butt two trapeziums together for a hexagon, or line several against a semi-circle end for a boardroom shape that breaks up again for training week. That only pays off if the tops share a height and finish, so buy them together. If the room genuinely has to clear completely, look at folding and flip-top tables instead, because these bases are meant to stay where you put them.
Chairs, power and the rest of the room
A table is only half a meeting room. Pair it with something from visitor and conference chairs that stacks or lines up neatly, and think about power early: laptops through a long meeting mean either an in-desk power module let into the top or a table from boardroom tables with power. For rooms that change weekly, the training collection and breakout and shaped tables cover the layouts.

Standard UK mainland delivery is free and usually with you inside five working days, with a next working day upgrade if a meeting date is fixed. These tables arrive flat and the tops are heavy, so pre-build and installation is worth adding when the room is upstairs, and the packaging leaves with us.
