Every seat Office Masters sells sits in here, from the Tutti mesh operator chair for someone at a desk all day to the high back Vegas, Xenon and Zure executive models. If you already know the job the chair has to do, go straight to task and operator chairs, executive chairs for a private office, or visitor and conference chairs for the other side of the desk. If you would rather choose by material, the stock also splits into mesh, which stays cooler, and fabric, which feels quieter.
Choosing an office chair
Start with hours, not looks. Anyone at a screen for six hours or more needs seat height, back height and arm height that move independently, plus a tilt that locks where you leave it. Seat depth is the setting people forget: with your back against the lumbar support, you want two or three fingers between the seat edge and the back of your knee. Where someone has a specific back complaint, the ergonomic and posture chairs are built for longer sittings.
The usual mistake is ordering one model for everybody. Someone of five foot two and someone of six foot four cannot share a spec, so split a larger order across two or three sizes. Floors matter too: hard castors mark laminate, so ask for soft wheels off carpet. A chair that feels dead is often just a worn gas lift or a split castor, both of which live in chair spares and parts.
Desks and tables to match
Chairs rarely arrive on their own. If a room is being fitted from scratch, settle the desk layout first in desks and workstations, because desk depth and leg type decide how far a chair pulls under and whether the arms clear the frame. For a boardroom, allow roughly 600mm of table edge per person on whichever top you pick from meeting and boardroom tables.
Office chairs in Ipswich and across Suffolk
Office Masters is the online arm of Neil Andrew Office Solutions Limited, a family run business at Edison Close on Ransomes Europark in Ipswich. Neil took over from his father Malcolm and relaunched under his own name in 2017, and the team supplies and installs office furniture right across Suffolk and Essex, from Felixstowe and Woodbridge out to Bury St Edmunds and Colchester, and delivers nationwide.
Standard UK mainland delivery is free and usually arrives within five working days, with a next working day upgrade when a chair is needed in a hurry, and pre-build can be added so seats turn up ready to sit on. If you are kitting out a whole floor, or stuck between two models, ring 01473 464644 and talk it through with someone who fits these chairs for a living.
