The Black Series is a small, deliberate range: Air height adjustable desks finished in black rather than the usual wood effect, with cable ports set into the top and the option of a steel modesty panel. There are two depths, full size and slimline, each with or without the panel. Black suits rooms that are already dark or industrial, studios with exposed services, filmed meeting rooms, and home offices where office beige would look wrong. The rest of the sit stand family sits in the Air sit-stand collection.
Choosing between the four
Depth comes first. A full depth top takes two screens and a keyboard with room to spare, while the slimline suits a narrow room or a second position in a space that is already full. Measure how far the chair pulls back, because a sit stand desk is no use if you cannot stand at it without moving furniture. The frame travels upwards, so check nothing is in the way overhead: shelves, sloping ceilings and low pendant lights all cause trouble.
The steel modesty panel is the second decision and more useful than it sounds. It hides legs and bags from anyone opposite, which matters when a desk faces into a room or sits back to back, and gives cables somewhere to run. Cable ports come as standard, the difference between a tidy desk and leads dragged up and down all day. Use them with the trays in cable management, and leave every cable enough slack to reach full standing height.
What sits with a black desk
Black tops are unforgiving of mismatched accessories, so keep the fittings dark: a black monitor arm disappears against the surface, and a chair from mesh office chairs holds the look together. If the desk doubles as a meeting point, in-desk power modules save people crawling underneath, and cable port top desks shows which other ranges come ported as standard. Compare sizes across the wider height adjustable desks range before ordering.

Height adjustable frames are heavy and awkward to turn over alone. Our fitters build and install them, check the travel from lowest to highest and take the packaging with them. For more than one desk, or anything going upstairs, ring 01473 464644.
