Standing height tables, all from the Italia range, for the spots where a conversation should last five minutes rather than fifty. There is a plain square poseur table, the same top on a cross base for a wider stance, and two Italia Volta poseur boardroom tables with a pop up power module in the top, one of them in a high gloss finish. The powered versions are the useful ones for stand up meetings, since laptops stay charged without a lead trailing to the wall. For seated heights, the bistro and cafe tables page covers the same family.
Choosing a poseur table
Poseur height is around 1050mm, which puts the top just below most people's elbows when standing. That is comfortable for leaning, writing and holding a mug, and deliberately less comfortable for settling in, which is why these tables suit stand ups and coffee points. Where the table will be used seated as well, order high stools with a footrest from the cafe and bistro seating page and check they leave a decent gap under the top.
The base decides where it can go. A cross base spreads the load and stops a tall table rocking when someone leans on the edge, while a column base takes less floor and suits a busy corner. If you pick a powered version, check where the nearest socket is, because the module still needs a feed and a route to a floor box: the in-desk power modules page shows how the same Volta parts work on ordinary desks. Gloss tops look sharp but show fingerprints, so keep the high gloss furniture for client facing rooms.
What to put around it
A poseur table wants stools rather than chairs, and the Harlestone stools or the wider stools and draughtsman range will get the height right. If the table doubles as a meeting point, boardroom tables with power is the seated equivalent, and the rest of the Italia tables range keeps finishes matching.

Office Masters is run by Neil Andrew Office Solutions, the family business Neil relaunched under his own name in 2017 after years working with his father Malcolm. We are based at Edison Close on Ransomes Europark in Ipswich and install as well as supply, with regular runs to Colchester, Woodbridge, Stowmarket and Haverhill. Standard delivery on the UK mainland is free and takes five working days.
Powered tables are worth having fitted, because the module needs seating properly and the cable wants routing so nobody catches it. Add pre-build and installation at checkout, or use the next working day upgrade when a meeting room is needed sooner. A quick call to 01473 464644 will confirm what is on the shelf before you order.
